Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Optimize My Ads is a brand owned and operated by PixelFolk Inc. ("we," "us," "our"), a company based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit optimizemyads.com, use one of our free tools, subscribe to The Changelog, book a call, buy one of our services, respond to one of our ads, or get in touch with us, and how we use and protect it.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to our website, people who use our free tools, people who submit a form on our site or through a lead ad, people who buy from us, and people who contact us by email. It does not cover your customers or the people who see your ads. When we build or review advertising accounts for you, that data is collected under your own privacy policy, and we work with it only on your instructions.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a call, request a service or contact us, we collect what you provide: your name, work email, website, what you sell, what advertising you already have set up, your monthly ad budget, and anything you write in a message field. When you buy a service, our payment processor collects your name, email and payment details. If you become a client, we also collect the business details needed to do the work, and the information you share with us on calls and by email.
Video ad audits. When you order a Loom Ad Audit, we collect your name, email, website, monthly ad budget, anything you tell us in the order form, and the link to the screen recording you share. Only Prash watches your recording, and we use it only to make your audit. We never share or publish it. Please keep customer details off screen. Your order form and payment are handled by Tally and Stripe, and our reply video is hosted on Loom.
Free tools. Our budget ramp calculators (for Black Friday and for clinics) work out your plan in your browser. If you enter your name and email to see your full plan, we receive your name, email, the numbers you entered (current daily budget, target peak budget and sale start date), a summary of your plan, whether you ticked the box to receive emails from us and when, and how you found the page (for example, the ad or link you clicked). The calculator also saves your inputs in your own browser so your plan stays open if you come back. That saved copy stays on your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.
Information from advertising platforms. If you submit one of our lead forms on Facebook, Instagram or another platform, that platform sends us the information you entered. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and are stored by Stripe, not by us. We receive confirmation of the payment, your name and email, and the last four digits of the card. Stripe's handling of your information is described in its own privacy policy.
Account access. For our services, you give us access to your advertising and analytics accounts. We access them only to do the work you have paid for, and we remove our access when the work is done.
Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for these purposes:
- Essential operation. Our site is hosted on Shopify, which sets cookies needed for the site to function. Our free tools also use your browser's storage to remember your inputs.
- Analytics. We use Microsoft Clarity, and may use other analytics tools, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Clarity records how you interact with our pages, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement.
- Advertising. We use the Meta Pixel, and may use similar tools from Google or other platforms, to measure whether our ads lead to visits and enquiries, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. This means those platforms may receive information about your visit, such as the pages you viewed, whether you used one of our tools, and whether you submitted a form, and may combine it with information they already hold about you under their own policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can control how Meta uses your information for ads through your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada at youradchoices.ca.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- deliver what you bought: run your audit or review, manage your campaigns, and send your reports
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a consult
- follow up on a plan you built with one of our free tools
- decide whether we are the right fit for your business
- process payments and keep the records we are required to keep
- send you marketing emails, but only if you have agreed to receive them
- measure and improve our website and advertising
- comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.
Email and your consent
We only add you to our marketing emails if you have given us permission, for example by ticking the opt-in box on one of our forms. That box is never ticked for you, and leaving it unticked does not stop you from using our tools. We keep a record of when you gave consent and the wording you agreed to.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@optimizemyads.com. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Even after you unsubscribe, we may still email you about something you bought or asked us for.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only for that purpose. These currently include:
- Shopify (website hosting and forms)
- Stripe (payments)
- Tally (order forms)
- Make (moves form submissions into our records)
- Notion (where we keep enquiry and client records)
- Google (email, documents, analytics and video calls)
- Microsoft (Clarity website analytics)
- Calendly (booking calls)
- Zoom (video calls)
- Loom (recorded reviews and reports)
- Slack (client communication during some engagements)
- Meta and other advertising platforms (advertising and lead forms)
- email marketing tools
Each of these is bound by its own privacy commitments and processes data on our behalf.
Optimize My Ads and PixelFolk (pixelfolk.ca) are the same company. If you ask us about full-service management, we may share your enquiry with the PixelFolk team internally. It is not shared outside the company.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a sale or restructuring of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Where your information is stored
We are based in Canada. Our service providers may store and process information in Canada, the United States, or elsewhere. Where information leaves Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information, including free tool submissions, for up to two years after our last contact with you, so we can follow up and so you don't have to repeat yourself if you come back. We keep a record of your email consent for as long as we email you and for up to three years after you unsubscribe, so we can show when and how you agreed. Purchase records, call recordings, transcripts, reports, plans and other client files are kept for the duration of our work together and for seven years afterward to meet tax and accounting requirements. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the provider's own retention periods.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct it if it's wrong
- delete it, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it
- stop sending you marketing emails
Email us at hello@optimizemyads.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion, and we do not sell personal information.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting access to the people who need it, using two-factor authentication on the tools we work in, sending form data over encrypted connections, and choosing providers with established security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new date at the top.
